Terms of Use

Effective 5 November 2026 · Last updated 5 November 2026

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Anzhi Lu, an individual developer based in Beijing, China, who develops and runs Lavendell ("we", "us"). "LifeLullaby" is a brand name we use. It is not a registered company.

By using Lavendell, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Please pay special attention to the terms in bold: auto-renewal and trial conversion, data loss, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law and disputes.

You get Lavendell from Apple's App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA") also applies. These terms add to it. If the two conflict about your licence to use the app, the Standard EULA wins. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Lavendell or its support.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

2. What Lavendell is

Lavendell is a focus and study app set in a fictional magic school. You choose a course and an entry, then study or work on your own things in real life, while your character studies in its own scene. Completed focus time grows your course progress and your magic book.

The school, courses, spells and characters are fiction. They are not real lessons or qualifications.

Lavendell is not medical or mental-health advice. Take breaks, and use it in a way that's good for you.

We may change, add or remove features. We'll tell you in advance about changes that take away membership benefits you have paid for.

3. Your account

4. Your name and conduct

Your name must not:

Names don't need to be unique. We may reject or remove a name that breaks these rules.

You also agree not to:

When online features arrive, other people may see your name, avatar and what you are studying. You will be able to report and block people, and to hide yourself from study lists. We may suspend or end your access if you break these rules.

5. Membership

Lavendell is free to use, including the Potions course and the basic features. Membership unlocks the benefits shown on the membership page when you buy, for example the four other courses.

The app shows the price in your local currency before you buy. Prices may differ by country. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or, if you start a free trial, when the trial ends.

Buying Lifetime doesn't cancel a subscription you already have. Cancel the subscription yourself so it doesn't renew.

When a membership ends, you keep what you have earned: progress, magic book pages, stages, medals and records. You can't start new sessions in member courses, and statistics other than today's lock again (your records are still saved). Your saved character stays as it is. Potions stays fully open.

6. Auto-renewal and free trial

7. Refunds and restoring purchases

Apple sells and bills all purchases. We can't give refunds ourselves, and we can't see your payment details. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. Members can also use Dormitory › Settings › Membership › Refund in the app. Apple decides under its own terms.

To restore purchases on a new iPhone or after reinstalling: Dormitory › Settings › Membership › Restore, signed in with the same Apple Account.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under consumer law where you live, including any right to cancel or to get a refund.

8. Content and intellectual property

9. Availability and disclaimers

We work to make Lavendell reliable. But to the extent the law allows, we provide it "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will always be available, be free of errors, or keep every feature.

Data on your iPhone can be lost, for example if the iPhone is lost or reset or the app is deleted. In this version we can't recover it.

Nothing here removes rights or guarantees that the law where you live says can't be removed.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

We don't limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app about important changes before they take effect. If you keep using Lavendell after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can stop using Lavendell and cancel your subscription.

12. Ending

You can stop using Lavendell at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or end your use if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we ever stop running Lavendell, we'll tell you in advance, in the app and on this website.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (mainland). This doesn't take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.

If you have a problem, please email us first. Most things can be sorted out quickly. If we can't settle it, either of us may take it to the competent court in Beijing. If you are a consumer, you may also go to the courts where you live, if your local law gives you that right.

14. Languages

These terms are in English and Chinese, and both say the same thing. If they ever differ, the English version applies, except where consumer protection law lets you rely on the version in your own language.
